Urinary Tract Infection:
• Urinary tract infection occurs when
the bacteria enter and multiply in the urinary tract
• The urinary tract consists of:
o Kidneys
o Uterus
o Bladder
o Urethra
• Women are more prone to this
infection
Symptoms to look for:
• Constant urge to urinate, although
the urine passed is minimal
• Pungent smell in urine
• Burning sensation while urinating
• If untreated, it can affect the
kidneys and lead to:
o Fever
o Nausea
o Vomiting
Causes:
• Having multiple sexual partners
• During intercourse, the penis can
push the bacteria from the vagina into the urethra
• Holding urine for too long weakens
the bladder. A weak bladder is unable to empty all the urine at one go
causing infection
Natural home remedy using coriander
powder:
1. Take 1 cup of hot water
2. Add 2 tsp coriander powder
3. Mix well
4. Drink twice a day
Natural home remedy using spinach
leaves and carrots:
1. Chop a handful of spinach leaves
2. Take 1 bowl of sliced carrots
3. Add both to about ½ L water
4. Boil for 15-20 min
5. Strain the water and crush the
vegetables
6. Extract juice of vegetables to
make soup
7. Add salt and pepper to taste
8. Drink the soup 2 times a day
Tips:
• Drink 8-10 glasses of water every
day as it helps flush toxins from the body
• Drink cranberry juice as it helps
contain bacterial growth and is effective in curing this infection
